Regular Line bets are a great way to maximize your playing time, but what’s gambling without a little thrill? If you need more ‘oomph’ in your game, we have many single roll Proposition bets for you.

Single roll bets have some of the highest house edges around, but they also have excellent payouts as well. How does a 30 to 1 payout on a $20.00 bet sound if you can roll “snake eyes” (double ones)? Sounds neat, doesn’t it?

But even with the huge payouts, most people don’t want to take a Craps bet on something with a huge house edge. So why would you make such a bet? First of all, it’s fun! In simple terms, it’s really exciting to have a bet on a single roll that might give you thirty times your wager. Second, you might have a “Hot roller” at the Craps table. A hot roller is someone who’s consistently rolling well. Either Lady Luck is with them or they’re a “Precision roller” who can shoot more good rolls than bad. Whatever the reason, get in on the action!

Keep in mind, that payouts may be different from casino to casino. Casinos in the heart of Vegas might have lower payouts, but “Ye Olde Faroff Casino” off the gravel road will give better payouts to attract customers. Payouts are usually posted at the Craps table.

Ok, let’s go over these single roll bets:

“Any 7” is a one roll wager that the next roll will come up 7. House odds are 16.67% with a 4 to 1 payout.  “Any 11” wins if the next roll is 11. Say “Yo or Yo-leven” if you want to make this bet because “Seven” might sound like “Eleven” in a noisy casino. House odds are 11.1% with a respectable 15 to 1 payout. 2 or “Double ones” (or snake eyes) gives you a 30 to 1 payout if you can roll two 1s. The house edge is 13.89%. You’ll get a 15 to 1 payout on a “Next 3” bet and the house has an 11.1% edge on this bet.  12 or “Double Six” pays 30 to 1 and has a 13.89% house advantage. “Any Craps” is a bet that the next roll will be craps. There’s an 11.1% house advantage and you’ll get a 7 to 1 payout when you win.

“Craps Eleven” are one of the four “Horn bets” which are bets on the 2, 3, 11 or 12 (all craps numbers). You can either bet on one number or make bets on all four numbers at once. However that means if you win on one, you lose on the other three. Most people stay away from this bet because the Horns will gore your pocketbook.

As you can see, these bets add some spice to the game – that’s why Craps is such an exciting game. There are the even money payouts of the pass line (etc), but there are also these super exotic wagers that pay off big – in other words, there’s something for everyone. So the next time you are at the Craps table, consider some of these single roll proposition bets – you just may walk away a big winner.
