Bet Odds
Bet odds are generally two different numbers – they are the actual odds of a particular bet winning, and they are also the payout (however, these are not to be confused with the “Odds Bet”, which we discuss in another article, and also at the end of the following table.)
The payouts depend on your particular casino, but most follow the below scale (please note – this is not every bet that can be made, but is a good synopsis for the most popular bets:)

As you can see, there is a house edge in all bets EXCEPT when odds are taken on the pass/come/don’t pass/don’t come bets. This is because those odds pay the true odds.
Now don’t get discouraged by the above – the Casino is expected to have a house edge (how do you think they pay for all the glitz?) Plus, if you are feeling adventurous, you can play the odds on your pass / come (etc) bets and reduce the house edge to nothing (however, you have to have a stomach for such – it can get expensive.)
So now you know how much you can win – blow on those dice (for a few seconds, anyway) and get rolling!
