Rendezvous Casino in Southend – formally known as Southend-on-Sea – opened in 1994 to rave reviews. Housed inside the Kursaal, a former ballroom and arcade complex, the casino provides a great atmosphere and a contemporary gaming experience. Located in the seaside resort of Southend, a hotbed of tourism, the casino is within walking distance of beaches, arcades, shopping, dining and dancing.

You can eat early or late, the restaurant is open from 7PM to 11:30 PM daily and lunch is served on Sunday’s from 1PM to 4PM. If it’s really late, there is a Chinese buffet from 12AM to 2AM, Sunday through Thursday. When you’re done, grab some after-dinner drinks from the Fahrenheit Ice Café where you can find international beer, a large wine selection and cocktails.
When you want to kick back, enjoy a romantic stroll along the waterfront or the pier – the longest in the world. You can also enjoy a cool dip in the pool at the Shoebury Swimming Pool or the Warriors Swim Center. When you’re done with that, play some tennis at the Thorpe Bay Tennis Club. If golf’s your game, be sure to play a round on one of the many courses on the outskirts of Southend.
The setting sun is your signal to get ready to party. Start at the Fahrenheit Ice Bar for some cocktails and maybe catch a little of the game on the 50” plasma-screen television. After that, head out into Southend where traditional meets contemporary. For quiet and cozy, there are a dozen or so classic English pubs where you can throw down a pint of ale. For exciting and cosmopolitan there are three nightclubs nearby the casino where you can get your dance on.
