Grandview Hotel and Casino, Taipa

The extravagant and elegant Grandview Hotel and Casino provides visitors with a wondrous, yet subdued atmosphere with its shimmering classical Chinese décor and architecture. Located on Taipa Island in Macau, the resort is home to not only the Grandview, but also the Macau International Airport, and the Macau Jockey Club – a horseracing park which is an extension of the Grandview.

The Grandview presents all the gaming you could want. 65 tables provide more than enough of the classic games and if you want to raise the limits, there are 4 VIP rooms with higher minimum bets. There are limited electronic games, but there are 42 slot machines if the “hungry tigers,” as they’re known in China, are for you. Or, if you really want a change of pace in your gaming, cross the street to the Macau Jockey Club, a world-class horseracing track.

When you finally exhaust yourself, bed down in one of the Grandview Hotel’s 407 rooms. The Superior and Deluxe rooms provide all of the basics with contemporary design. All deluxe rooms offer a view of the racetrack for horserace enthusiasts. The Junior Suites – two on every floor – provides residents with a living room and bedroom and plenty of comfort, while the four separate Executive Rooms provide modern furnishing and 37-inch LCD televisions. If you’re really looking to spend, try the Presidential Suite, a two-floor getaway with foyer, board room, dining area, master bedroom and guest room.

There are plenty of dining options, too. The Grandview offers a taste of everything. The Kuan I Hin Chinese Restaurant on the second floor provides dim sum and other local and regional specialties. Reviewers rave about the Grandview egg-yolk buns, calling them “irresistible.” The Valencia, on the other hand, provides international cuisine and fine dining at value pricing. Also try Cherry’s Corner, a newly-renovated lounge and 24-hour bar where you can find fresh fruits, carrots, coffee, tea, and of course, beer, wine and cocktails.

Don’t forget the personal time. Check out the Lavender Spa and Fitness Center on the 4th floor. Invigorate yourself with aromatic treatments, foot massages, facials and back massages. When you’re truly relaxed and the blood is moving, visit the exercise studio and do some cardio on one of the center’s many machines and then top it off with a dip in the massive swimming pool outside.

For nightlife, most visitors travel out into Taipa Island or take a ride over the bridge or on the ferry to the heart of the city, where nightlife is plentiful and always ready for you.

Should you decide to venture outward, take in the shopping, theme park, temples and other historical sites on Taipa Island and in the city.

Fly into Macau International Airport and catch a ride to Grandview Hotel and Casnio, 142 Estrada Governador Albano de Oliveira, Taipa, Macau, China.
