Grandview Casino and Macau Jockey Club Casino, Taipa

The Macau Jockey Club is the only horseracing venue in the region and gives visitors to the city with a one-of-a-kind gaming experience. Once independent, the Macau Jockey Club was purchased in 1991 and became an extension of the Grandview Hotel and Casino. With 18,000 seats, the Macau Jockey Club is sure to be a happening place.

Open Wednesday through Sunday evenings – most races are Friday night and Saturday afternoon – the Macau Jockey Club features a lighted grass track, restaurants, air-conditioned grandstand and horses and jockeys from Ireland, Australia, Europe and America. The Jockey Club hosts races – 1000-2000 meters – year-round. Available since 2005, the Macau Jockey Club also features televised dog-racing which can be bet on from the Club.

In between races, be sure to visit the Macau Jockey Club casino. 19 tables offer Blackjack and Baccarat and there are two VIP rooms with higher-stakes tables of the same games.

When you’re ready to bed down, check into the Grandview Hotel next to the track. All deluxe rooms offer a view of the racetrack for horserace enthusiasts. For something a little roomier, junior suites feature a living room, bedroom and plenty of comfort, while the four separate Executive Rooms provide modern furnishing and 37-inch LCD televisions.

For food, there’s nothing better than the critically acclaimed Kuan I Hin Chinese Restaurant on the second floor, which serves dim sum and other local and regional specialties. The Valencia, on the other hand, provides international cuisine and fine dining at value pricing. Drinks can be had at Cherry’s Corner, a 24-hour bar and lounge features coffee, tea, and of course, beer, wine and cocktails.

Invigorate yourself with aromatic treatments, foot massages, facials and back massages. When you’re truly relaxed and the blood is moving, visit the exercise studio and do some cardio on one of the center’s many machines and then top it off with a dip in the massive swimming pool outside.

For nightlife, most visitors travel out into Taipa Island or take a ride over the bridge or on the ferry to the heart of the city, where nightlife is plentiful and always ready for you.

Fly into Macau International Airport and catch a ride to Macau Jockey Club, 142, Estrada Governador Albano de Oliveira, Taipa, Macau, China.
