Coral Costa Caribe Hotel and Casino, Villa del Mar Juan Dolio

San Pedro, Dominican Republic is a coastal town on the southern shore of the island nation. Home to beautiful white sand beaches and overlooking the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, the city is a popular getaway for tourists visiting the country. Aside from its natural beauty, though, the city is also home to Coral Costa Caribe Hotel & Casino, a great destination if you want to bring the family on a tropical vacation.

The Coral Costa Caribe casino – The American Casino – is open daily from 8PM to 4AM and provides plenty of gaming action with its 14 tables and 75 gaming machines. Play Blackjack, Craps, Poker, Roulette, and of course Caribbean Stud Poker or try your hand on the Vegas-style slot machines or the lineup of popular electronic games. For gamers newcomers, there are free lessons for each of the table games offered at the casino.

A great hotel option for gamers at The American Casino is the Coral Costa Caribe Hotel, a 400-room hotel with rooms that feature garden-view and ocean-view. The entire hotel is different than the traditional Dominican Republic resort in its old-world feel – created by both the European-styled architecture and the exotic tropical landscaping. Each room of the hotel features cable television, plush furniture and bedding, coffee services and 24-hour room and front desk services.

Food is plentiful at Coral Costa Caribe with its five restaurants and six bars. Ambar serves up traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner, while El Charro (Mexican), La Carreta (Grilled), and Rigoletto (Italian) all serve their own style of dinner from 5PM to 10:30PM.  If its late-night food you’re after, try the Sports Bar, which serves up light snacks and sandwiches as well as local beer and popular cocktails.  When you’re done, catch some live music at Ambar, which hosts nightly acts.

For leisure, Coral Costa Caribe has done a good job of providing both basic and exciting activities. Start out your day with a workout in the fully equipped fitness center and follow it up with a sit in the Jacuzzis, sauna or steam room. You can also go for a swim in the casino’s three swimming pools or play tennis on their 24-hour tennis courts. If you brought the family along, send them to the Coralin Kidz Paradise Club – a children’s center with its own swimming pool. There are water sports, too: windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling, canoeing and jet skiing.

The Coral Costa Caribe offers nightly entertainment so you can be sure that you’ll have plenty of fun after the sun goes down. There is a disco bar that thumps all night long and there is live entertainment at the Cacao Theater. Venturing out, you can find live music of all varieties, bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
