Camrose is a city in the province of Alberta that is growing by leaps and bounds. Adding to its growth is the US$20 million Camrose Resort Casino that opened its casino and restaurant doors just recently to service the residents and visitors of the city for their gambling and relaxation needs. It is expected that its hotel will start operating in the summer of 2009 to fully compliment the recently opened casino. With 27,000 sq. ft of gaming floor, Camrose Resort Casino has a southern mansion look and is equipped with the latest gambling machines. Slot machine gaming is open daily, from 10AM to 12AM (Sunday to Thursday) and 10AM to 2AM (Friday and Saturday). Gaming tables are open daily, from 4PM to 12AM (Sunday to Thursday) and 4PM to 2AM (Friday and Saturday).
Camrose Resort Casino boasts of 200 brand new slot machines that have the most advanced gaming system with a ticket-in, ticket-out playing procedure that serves to enhance further the gambling enjoyment of casino customers and patrons. There are 18 gaming tables. Twelve gaming tables with $5 to $200 table limits are for various table games such as Blackjack, Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker, Baccarat, Mini-Baccarat, Extreme 21, Texas Hold'Em and Roulette. For Poker games, Camrose Resort Casino has a private Poker Room with 6 gaming tables.
The hotel is still under construction and is expected to be fully operational by the summer of 2009.
Camrose Resort Casino has three food outlets: the Buffet Room, the King's Food Court, and a restaurant named Smokey Joe’s Dining Lounge. These three food outlets are seen to serve the food requirements of both the casino and its hotel occupants when the hotel opens in the summer of 2009.
Camrose Resort Casino has its own entertainment area that will showcase varied talents from Canada and abroad. The casino is drawing up plans of inviting world famous performers and even celebrities to perform at the casino in its desire to provide live entertainment to its gambling patrons, guests and future hotel clients. For poker entertainment, Camrose Resort Casino holds Poker Tournaments on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and the last Saturday of the month.
Just across the Camrose Resort Casino is the Camrose Regional Exhibition where trade fairs and other events are usually staged.
